Product Description

The Children's 49cc Road Rat is the ideal introduction to four wheels for juniors.

The 49cc Road Rat go kart is a great introductory machine for children up to the age of 12. Well made with a simple design, these machines run the proven Mitsubishi designed 2-stroke replica engine. Designed with junior riders in mind, the Road Rat is not only superb value for money; it is also super safe.

The low centre of gravity makes the go kart extremely hard to topple over, even on the tightest of corners. The speed is restrictable, so that the go kart can be reduced to near walking pace while riders develop their confidence and proficiency. All of the controls are user friendly and are all located on the F1 style steering wheel.

The F1 steering, as well as upgrading the go kart's handling, nicely polishes off the machine to make it really look the business. The additional plastic covers prevent skin contact with the engine / exhaust and the conveniently located steering wheel cut-off switch allows the engine to be stopped quickly and easily. The Road Rat will have kids of all ages zipping around in safety.

We always find that the sheer simplicity of the Road Rat endears it to our customers. The lightweight frame means that it is robust yet easy maneuverable - you wouldn't have any problems moving it around by hand or in and out of the back of the car.

The Road Rat includes a simple choke mechanism on the carburettor - allowing it to be set to either on or off, without you having to worry about anything in between. The gearbox is fully automatic, meaning that there is no need for riders to ever change gear - just pull the throttle and you're off! Moreover, parts are readily available for the Road Rat and we always have a near 100% parts back up in stock.
