Product Description

This is a strengthened clutchbell with tempered steel sprocket for water cooled mini motos. We sell better quality parts that give longer life and more performance.

It has 6 teeth and the attached sprocket fits a 6mm chain.

Includes pinion, cover, housing and drum, but does not include any fixing bolts.

This part will definitely fit:

  • Water cooled mini moto
  • B1 replica mini moto
  • Blata Origami mini moto

Replacing your existing pinion sprocket with one that has a different number of teeth will affect your machines top speed and how fast it will accelerate; this is called gearing. You will also need to make sure that the new pinion sprocket will suit your existing chain.

Here are the rules of gearing

Increase the number of teeth on the DRIVE pinion sprocket and you will increase the top speed but reduce the acceleration.

Decrease the number of teeth on the DRIVE pinion sprocket and you will increase the acceleration but decrease the top speed.

Increase the number of teeth on the DRIVEN sprocket and you will increase the acceleration but decrease the top speed.

Decrease the number of teeth on the DRIVEN sprocket and you will increase the top speed but decrease the acceleration.

When changing pinion or drive sprockets just bear in mind that you may need a larger or smaller chain to accommodate any changes you have made.

How do I know what type of chain the pinion sprocket will suit?

Please see the diagram image for an indication of what chain size the sprocket will fit. Pinion sprockets will always fit either 6mm or 8mm chains.
