Product Description

The 2013 Meerkat 50 is the UK's all time best selling children's quad. This is the new fully automatic 2013 model.

As the sole Kazuma dealer for the UK and Ireland our dealer network brings Kazuma quads to buyers wherever you are located.  You can also purchase online, the choice is yours. We even ship to Europe! Just email us for your nearest dealer or use the find a dealer link.

"I was most surprised to view Kazuma quad bikes being offered to me in Denmark but shipped from England. My order arrived without delay and in good time for low cost. My greetings go to the staff at petrolscooter for a perfect complete delivery." Frederick Poulson / Denmark

All our machines come fully built and ready to use by fully qualified mechanics not fitters. We also offer the best backup on the market with a full 12 months parts warranty. If that's not impressive enough, we are Europe's largest Kazuma parts stockist.

"I ordered a quad online and it came needing full assembly, even the chain needed fitting! I'm no mechanic but I could do the basics, but I wasn't prepared to build the whole quad. I sent it back and ordered a Kazuma Meerkat 50, it came ready to use and had oil and even a bit of petrol in it. It started first time. My little girl loves it and she is always riding around our garden. While most of her other toys lie unused and broken the Meerkat just goes on and on, its brilliant" Mr David Lovitt / Hampshire

New for 2013: the fully tested fully automatic model, which is now just throttle-and-go, no gears!

Welcome to the Kazuma Meerkat Deluxe; Britain's best loved children's quad bike. No other quad has sold so many or has received such rave reviews as the Meerkat. The new 2013 model (also fondly known as the Wombat) includes front and rear brakes and a whole host of new safety features to reflect its user group.

An enduring design, complete with numerous parental controls, combined with a smooth and quiet four stroke engine, delivers the perfect combination for the junior quad bike owner. The 15 year proven track record of the Meerkat speaks for itself, combine this with a recognised brand name and buoyant second hand market and easily available spares, it proudly takes its place as the UK's best selling quad bike.

"Buy with confidence, we have had ours for 3 three years and it has never not started, well worth the money." Sarah Cummings / Surrey

"I purchased a 50 Meerkat from a dealer in Bargen, he no longer trades this model due to closure of his business, so I look to Petrolscooter in the UK  for the longer term spares. For sure they have every part required listed for me online. I am not asking for more than this service." Derek Baltus / Netherlands

Numerous features make the Meerkat one of the safest quads available for young children. Speed can be limited by the fully restrictable throttle that can easily be adjusted by simply turning one screw. There are also two-engine cut out switches: one activated by a lead at the rear of the quad (lead not supplied) and another cut-off point where a child's wrist strap can be attached (wrist strap not supplied). The machine also includes a chain guard. Combine these features with a low ride height, sturdy frame and you have brilliant entry level machine.

"My wife didn't want my boy to have a quad, but when she saw it could be restricted to slower than his electric buggy she was sold. I have the old geared model, but he loves it. He pulls his brother around in a small trailer I fixed up" Tom Franklin / Gloucester

The Kazuma Meerkat is suitable for children aged 4-7 under adult supervision. The machine is very safe, easy to use and restrictable to suit your child's abilities whilst still providing fun with a challenge. The Kazuma Falcon 90cc and Falcon 110cc quad bikes are the next in the range if you need a bigger machine. Helmets are available in our accessories section.

"Thanks petrolscooter. I received my Meerkat in perfect time for my sons birthday. Being able to buy helmets, gloves and his race suit in the one place made life easy." Darren Croft / Norfolk

The Meerkat has stood the test of time, and has always been at the forefront of its class. Many manufacturers have attempted to emulate the success of the Meerkat, but due to inferior build quality and engineering they have all failed to compete - watch out for poor copies of this popular machine!

No-one has managed to match the reliability, safety, build quality and reputation of this remarkable bike. We are also the UK's leading stockist of Kazuma spares.

"We have been selling Meerkats for over 10 years and our sales have topped 3000. The sales team love selling them and the workshop love building them as they cause us no problems whatsoever;  I can't think of a better toy for a youngster." Richard Smith / Warehouse Manager / Petrolscooter

I'm wary about maintenance, how do I maintain it?

Maintenance is easy and cheap, you can do it yourself! these are very similar to petrol mowers.

Alternatively you could use us or any of our countrywide dealers. We also find small garden machinery sellers are often happy to service kids quads as long as they can get the spares. Pump up the tyres periodically, tighten up any loose nuts and bolts, check the oil, and lubricate and tension the chain, there is little more to it! Advice is only a phone call away.

For spare parts, simple! phone us for all your spares requirements.

Come and have a look at our extensive Kazuma range. The Kazuma range extends from the Meerkat to commercial grade machines.

If you want even more specification or a larger machine? Try the 90cc or 110cc Kazuma's that we have in our showroom. We are also official stockists of Stomp pit bikes and Wulfsport helmets and clothing.

Meerkat 50cc F.A.Q

What age range is this quad suitable for?

The Kazuma Meerkat is suitable for children aged 4-7 years old. Kids come in all shapes and sizes so this is just a guide. If you have an older child you may be interested in the Falcon 90, Panda 110 or Falcon Baby and Deluxe models all available in our shop.

How much assembly is required?

All machines arrive fully built ready to use. The handlebars will be fitted but may have been folded down for transit. Just position them at the required setting for your child using the spanner included within the bikes toolkit. Any machine will have a requirement for ongoing maintenance, so we suggest that machines should only be purchased by semi mechanically minded users or adults.

Will it fit in my car?

Yes. The Meerkat is the smallest and lightest in the Kazuma range. It can easily be fitted into the rear of most cars by simply putting the back seats down.

How fast can it go?

The Meerkat will reach a top speed of around 25 mph. However, speed can be restricted to suit the user, so younger or inexperienced riders can learn at a safe speed. This can be achieved by simply turning a screw, which can allow the bike to be restricted to walking pace. The top speed is a maximum only achievable on a long straight with a good build up. The normal working speeds are between 10 and 20 mph.

How will my machine be delivered?

The machine will arrive fully built on a pallet. It will delivered by courier on the date of delivery between 8.30am and 6pm. Please call us if you have specific delivery requirements.

Where can the machine be used?

Most quad bikes as sold by us are not legal on public roads. They can be used on any private land with the permission of the owner(s), and are suitable for terrain surfaces such as grass, gravel etc. The quad bike should not be used on extreme terrain which may cause the user to lose control, or fall off the quad bike causing injury; if an adult is in supervision they should make this assessment before allowing the child to use the quad bike. Quad bikes are supplied by us with off-road tyres; use on tarmac will cause premature tyre wear.

Can the quad bike take passengers?

No more than one person should ride the quad bike at any one time. Your attention is drawn to the maximum user weight of 60 kilos. Passengers affect the machines ability to handle correctly and may cause loss of control.

Is any protective clothing required?

It is advised that riders always wear a helmet and protective clothing/pad's to prevent injury. Please see the accessory section for our full range of Wulfsport clothing and safety equipment.

Can I use the quad to tow anything?

No. The Meerkat has no towing capacity.

Can I use the quad bike on the road?

Most quad bikes do not arrive from us as road legal machines and so, without any alterations, cannot be used on public roads. See "Where can the machine be used?". For more information on road legality and on how to road legalise your quad bike, see Quad Bike Legality.

How noisy is the quad bike?

Unlike many other makes like Quadzilla and Aeon all our machines run very low noise four-stroke engines, which makes them amongst the quietest and reliable quad bikes available.

What level of technical support and assistance is available?

We man our phones 6 days a week, please call for assistance.
