Product Description

The Meerkat 50 is the UK's all time best selling childrens quad.

Welcome to the Kazuma Meerkat Deluxe; Britain's best loved children's quad bike. No other quad has sold as many or has received such rave reviews as the Meerkat. The new 2009 model (also fondly known as the Wombat) includes front and rear brakes and a whole host of new safety features to reflect its user group.

An enduring design, complete with numerous parental controls, combined with a smooth and quiet four stroke engine, delivers the perfect combination for the junior quad bike owner. Throw in a headlamp unit and the Meerkat could be mistaken for a much bigger machine, if it wasn't for its child friendly size. Kazuma have really pulled out the stops on this one - delivering exactly what customers have said they want to see on a junior quad.

Numerous features make the Meerkat one of the safest quads available for young children. Speed can be limited by the gears or by the wholly restrictable throttle that can easily be adjusted by simply turning one screw. There are also two-engine cut out switches, one activated by a lead at the rear of the quad (lead not supplied) and another cut-off point where a child’s wrist strap can be attached (wrist strap not supplied). The machine also includes a chain guard. Combine these features with a low ride height, sturdy frame and you have brilliant entry level machine.

The Kazuma Meerkat is suitable for children aged 4-7 under adult supervision. The machine is very safe, easy to use and restrictable to suit your child's abilities whilst still providing fun with a challenge. The Kazuma Falcon 90cc and Falcon 110cc quad bikes are the next in the range if you need a bigger machine. Helmets are available in our accessories section.

The Meerkat has stood the test of time, and has always been at the forefront of its class. Many manufacturers have attempted to emulate the success of the Meerkat, but they have always fallen flat on their faces due to inferior build quality and engineering - watch out for poor copies of this popular machine! As of yet, no-one has managed to match the reliability, safety, build quality and reputation of this remarkable bike. We are also the UK's leading stockist of Kazuma spares.

What age range is this quad suitable for?

The Kazuma Meerkat is suitable for children aged 4-7 years old. If you have an older child you may be interested in the Falcon 90 or Panda 110.Back to questions

How much assembly is required?

Minor assembly is required, such as putting the battery in place, and should take no more than half an hour. No specialist tools are required. If you choose to receive the bike fully built then all you will need to do is get it out of the crate and raise the height of the handlebars. Machines will need a thorough checking over to ensure all nuts and bolts are tight and that the machine is ready for use. Due to the requirement for ongoing maintenance, we suggest that machines should only be purchased by mechanically minded users or adults.Back to questions

Will it fit in my car?

Yes. The Meerkat is the smallest and lightest in the Kazuma range. It can easily be fitted into the rear of cars by simply putting the back seats down. Back to questions

How fast can it go?

The Meerkat will reach a top speed of around 25mph. However, speed can be restricted to suit the user, so younger or inexperienced riders can learn at a safe speed. This can be achieved by simply turning a screw, which can allow the bike to be restricted to walking pace.Back to questions

How will my machine be delivered?

The machine will arrive crated, requiring minor assembly. It will delivered by courier on the date of delivery between 8.30am and 6pm. Back to questions

Where can the machine be used?

Most quad bikes as sold by us are not legal on public roads. They can be used on any private land with the permission of the owner(s), and are suitable for terrain surfaces such as grass, gravel etc. The quad bike should not be used on extreme terrain which may cause the user to lose control, or fall off the quad bike causing injury; if an adult is in supervision they should make this assessment before allowing the child to use the quad bike. Quad bikes are supplied by us with off-road tyres; use on tarmac will cause excessive tyre wear.Back to questions

Can the quad bike take passengers?

No more than one person should ride the quad bike at any one time. Passengers affect the machines ability to handle correctly and may cause loss of control. Back to questions

Is any protective clothing required?

It is advised that riders always wear a helmet and protective clothing/pad's to prevent injury. Back to questions

Can I use the quad to tow anything?

No. The Meerkat has no towing capacity.Back to questions

Can I use the quad bike on the road?

Most quad bikes do not arrive from us as road legal machines and so, without any alterations, cannot be used on public roads. See "Where can the machine be used?". For more information on road legality and on how to road legalise your quad bike, see Quad Bike Legality. Back to questions

How noisy is the quad bike?

All our machines run very low noise four-stroke engines, which makes them amongst the quietest quad bikes available. Back to questions

We man our phones 6 days a week (9.30am till 5.30pm Mon-Fri, 10.00am till 2.00pm Sat) and our on-site quad bike specialists will be available to provide any support or assistance you require.
