The Countryman carries an array of new specification that increases it appeal even more for 2010. The new 150cc 4-stroke engine delivers an extra 13% power over previous models (perfect for pulling trailers if you choose to have the tow hitch added), while the enlarged exhaust muffler has lowered the decibel rating by 10%. The genuine KF Japanese carburettor and a fully automatic gearbox complete the Countryman as a truly versatile tool at a value for money price.

The gearbox is based on a CVT transmission, meaning that changes between Forward, Neutral and Reverse are always smooth and reliable. Riders can change between these gears by means of a robust lever, which is easily accessed in the right hand foot well. The bike is also fitted with a heavy duty 530 chain, 12v horn, electric start with keys and a fully automatic choke - no need to mess around with the choke settings as this is all done automatically for you.

The Countryman also delivers all of the unseen specification that you would expect of a top-of-the-range utility vehicle: strong seam welded chassis, metal front and rear carry racks, Duro tyres with a deep off road tread, bash-proof heavy duty sump guard, and large capacity fuel tank. Combine the tank size with superb fuel economy and you will be surprised at how little fuel it uses. The front dual a-arm suspension ensures that the ride is always as smooth as possible and the rear disc brake, combined with twin front disc brakes, deliver reliable stopping power, even in the muddiest of conditions.

Despite being armed to the teeth with all of these utility features, the Countryman never compromises its 'safety first' rule. The twin front headlamps and rear taillight mean that you can always see and be seen, while the left and right parking brakes prevent the bike from moving when you don't want it to. The thumb throttle is restrictable, allowing the Countryman's speed to be set according to the rider's proficiency or the environment in which it is being used in - ideal for stables or farmyards where space is limited and the speed needs to be controlled. Rider's are kept safe from the engine by fully enclosed foot wells plus chain and exhaust guards.

Rider's always find the Countryman remarkably versatile and easy to ride, although a reinforced front bumper is fitted to dampen the effect of any little bumps that may occur. The fairings (supplied in the traditional agricultural Green colour) are protected around the edges by vinyl strengtheners, preventing damage being caused by knocks or bumps.
